Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a GPC global M&A strategy to accelerate strategic priorities and create shareholder value
  • Build relationships with global executive leadership to understand and prioritize M&A transactions
  • Define and establish key GPC transaction metrics to prioritize deals and deliver shareholder value
  • Partner with business units to originate M&A opportunities and maintain actionable transaction pipeline
  • Partner to implement disciplined transaction valuation and financial evaluation processes
  • Lead and partner to negotiate key transaction documentation including NDA, LOI, purchase agreements, etc..
  • Lead and partner with business unit and HQ teammates to manage end-to-end due diligence processes
  • Lead and partner with business units to develop value creation/synergy and integration cost planning
  • Lead and partner with integration teams to deliver value creation/synergy and integration cost assumptions
  • Lead disciplined process to assess post-close financial and operational performance relative to assumptions
  • Lead disciplined end-to-end process to communicate transaction progress/status to GPC executive leadership
  • Partner with GPC executive leadership to analyze GPC portfolio optimization strategies
  • Lead and define GPC M&A capital allocation strategies to create shareholder value
  • Lead evaluation and prioritization of strategic investments including minority investments, JVs, alliances, etc..

 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in leading complex corporate M&A activities preferably within global organization
  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at C-level and to the Board of Directors
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with others
  • Outstanding written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of building and leading disciplined transaction and integration processes
  • Ability to work independently and in ambiguous situations
  • In-depth understanding of business modeling, corporate finance and business valuation
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, domestically and globally
