Job Description

Role will manage the purchasing, relationship and overall supply chain performance of a supplier core group. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and manage PO’s, supplier master data and RFQ’s. Negotiate supplier pricing and terms.
  • Cross train to broaden product knowledge, supplier base and specific process requirements.
  • Resolve any supplier discrepancies and analyze our supply chain and for slow and non-moving inventories. 
  • Coordinate new product launches and phase outs with marketing and product managers.


  • Experience in forecasting, inventory management and developing/leading teams is strongly desired
  • Ability to handle data-analysis projects and to deal with changing priorities
  • Demand planning and forecasting knowledge preferred. APICS or related certification a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP software, advanced proficiency in Microsoft office is highly desired.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related business/technical field is required.  Two years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.

Working Environment

In going back and forth between plant and office environments there is some exposure to heat, moderate noise, moving pieces of equipment and dust/flying particles. This position has fairly frequent interruptions requiring focus and the ability to return to tasks.  Work outside of normal business hours may be required. Infrequent travel may be required for training and business reasons.
