Summary
The Recruiting Programs Specialist will work with the Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager to implement university recruiting strategies and execute on employer branding and recruitment marketing tasks for Genuine Parts Company. A Day in the Life
As the Recruiting Programs Specialist, you will play a critical role in campus recruiting, coordinating recruiting events, and analyzing our recruitment marketing strategy. The Specialist will serve as a Brand Ambassador for GPC and is responsible for building relationships with local Atlanta campuses with a high focus on HBCUs and diversity recruitment as well as other national organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan recruiting events throughout the year and summer intern program events
- Oversee intern recruiting process, partnering with Recruiters, HR Managers and the Employee Service Center to ensure interns receive the best candidate and onboarding experience
- Coordinate and manage annual calendar of campus recruitment events and ensuring GPC’s presence at career fairs and information sessions
- Ensure consistent and equitable administration of processes and programs across all departments, serving as a dedicated resource to leaders, targeted colleges/universities, and students
- Cultivate relationships with appropriate deans, faculty, career services, admissions office, corporate relations office, student leaders, and alumni from schools to attract wide range of students from diverse backgrounds
- Maintain recruiting materials and collateral – creating materials as needed and assisting other departments with securing the appropriate resources to attend recruiting events
- Participate in the review and improvement of our Careers site (e.g. create videos, modify visuals) and job postings
- Partner with Communications team to develop a digital recruitment strategy, create and get approval for graphic material, deploy strategy online. Increase visibility of our employer brand and job postings
- Partner with subsidiary talent acquisition teams as applicable to enhance GPC brand awareness
- Propose solutions and collaborate on talent attraction strategies
- Analyzing data and metrics to ensure we are targeting the right sources for recruiting
- Assist with sourcing and pre-screening candidates for summer intern program and facilitate recruitment process for intern and other early careers programs
Qualifications
- 4-year degree, with coursework or concentration in Human Resources or related area preferred
- Some recruiting experience preferred
- Experience managing multiple programs and coordinating events
- Experience working with campus recruiting tools such as Handshake, applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred), and CRMs
- Strong knowledge of social media, web-based recruitment strategies, and talent acquisition trends, and reporting analysis skills
- Skilled at networking and building relationships
- Local travel to Atlanta schools required
