Position Mission: The Accounting Managers are responsible for adhering to accounting principles, procedures, and company policies for the efficient processing of the operational accounting function. Each manager supervises a staff of accountants, partnering with field operations to produce the monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner. The position oversees the daily reporting of the point of sales data and the accompanied banking transactions. The managers coordinate team efforts, working within tight deadlines to deliver standardized financial results for all company owned field operations.

• Timely completion of tasks (maintaining/meeting deadlines on a daily/monthly and ad hoc basis)

• Quality of tasks (accuracy - lacking errors and providing meaningful documentation to support entries

and/or position when decisions are made)

• Capacity (ability to maintain / manage volume of locations – which can be impacted by the complexity

of said locations/business)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day to day operational accounting functions & systems across multiple entities

• Manage month-end process, creating, posting, and approving journal entries, performing, and

reviewing account reconciliations

• Maintain annual license/certificates/permits renewal documentation

• Maintain insurance and tax documentation

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews

• Direct and enforce proper accounting methods, controls, policies, and procedures

• Coordinate an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

• Confirming bank and credit card transactions are reconciled

• Direct the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and payments

• Support overall department goals and objectives

• Monitors and analyzes department work for quality and accuracy

• Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff

• Supports field personnel on sales tax audits

• Administer personal property and business license returns

Experience, Education, and Abilities:

Experience Requirements:

Requirements include but may not be limited to the following:

• 2 - 4 years supervisory experience

• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems

• Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills

• Good knowledge of business rules

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong organizational skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
