Job Description

Hydraulic Supply Company (HSC), a division of Motion Industries, is seeking a Branch Counter Sales Representative to get hands on and provide quality customer service and support at a key branch in the Retail and Service business segment of HSC. This is an opportunity for a motivated and talented candidate to grow with a great team and a very successful company. Responsibilities 

  • Support branch sales by providing first class customer service to local market
  • Assist in servicing customers face-to-face through familiarity and knowledge of products
  • Troubleshoot customer problems and provide creative solutions
  • Identify and build customer assemblies
  • Ensure knowledge of use of all equipment
  • Work closely with the Branch manager and outside sales group to develop and grow the business
  • Assist team in overall maintenance of the branch
  • Participate in making sure all safety guidelines are followed
  • Maintain key relationships with customers
  • Ensure customer service and value -add is a focal point of every interaction

Position Requirements   

  • HS Diploma/GED preferred
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and be hands on
  • Capable of using hand tools and shop equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable in a consultative transaction atmosphere
  • Mechanical/technical inclination a plus
  • Knowledge of different hoses and thread configurations a plus
  • Industrial sales experience a plus
  • Basic hydraulic knowledge a plus
  • Epicor P21 experience a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
