The Role – What you will get to do:

  • Collaborate with sales management focusing on strategic pricing to sustainably grow profit dollars
  • Support 12 to 15 store groupsand work primarily with District Managers
  • Analyze territory and product trends (what is selling/what isn’t) and resolve pricing issues
  • Share best practices with your other Commercial Pricing Strategy colleagues

A Day in the life:

  • Develop and implement successful go to market pricing strategies for our commercial business
  • Build a strong business relationship with field leadership for assigned operations
  • Communicate successes and lessons learned with Pricing colleagues
  • Proactively seek revenue and margin opportunities for field operations
  • Use of BI tools and other data sources and monitor weekly and monthly trends - identify and implement corrective actions quickly
  • Develop and implement strategies based on customer segmentation
  • Ensure rational, fact-based decisions on commercial pricing
  • Develop an ongoing exchange of information with Pricing Analysts, Product Managers and Sales, helping build the best offering for our customers
  • Engage immediately and fully with new stores and changeovers to ensure customers are priced appropriately from day one
  • Ensure each field operation engages the correct pricing strategy, where options exist
  • Provide field mgmt. feedback on price overrides and assist them in override waste reduction
  • Understand local competitive dynamics

What you’ll need: 

  • At least 2 years of B2B (commercial) experience focused on profitability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with business intelligence tools to analyze big data and reach rational business decisions
  • Identify relevant missing data and work with BI team to integrate for future analysis
  • Superior Excel proficiency
  • 4-year college degree in a business field is required - Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with customer and company employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to make formal presentations to a variety of audiences on a variety of work-related topics
  • Ability to travel several times per year - you do not have to be a “road warrior’ but we need you to travel some

And if you have this, even better (This is not a deal breaker if you don’t)

  • Automotive aftermarket experience
  • Working knowledge of Qlik Sense, Alteryx, SQL, Microsoft Access
  • Computer programming experience
