Job Description

Motion Industries, is seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills and problem solving experience to fill our Product Content Specialist position. Product Content Specialists classify new and existing products into the appropriate categories within our comprehensive taxonomy system. They build schema for these products by determining what attributes will best describe them to end users who search for quality products on our website, and they assist our branch employees who use Motion's internal database, with discerning the details for various products.   •  Classify product into proper taxonomy (product categories)
  •  Update existing product data parametric data (attributes) and images
  •  Create and design new product content with parametric data (attributes) and images
  •  Problem Solving - Identifying and resolving inconsistencies among sets of data is a regular occurrence and must be done efficiently
  •  Format product data to be imported into Product Information System (PIM)
  •  Work with the suppliers to obtain any product data or images for our website and/or print publications
  • Work with Marketing Catalog on print publication projects (videos, ads, etc.)
  • Review and complete Customer Product Feedbacks from


  •  Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or job related experience
  •  Five to seven years product knowledge a plus
  • Must be skillful in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel experience with PowerPoint a plus
  • Must be able to set priorities and manage time effectively 
  • Ability to work well in team situations and/or autonomously
  • Must strive to increase productivity 
  • Must have superb communication skills
