Title:  Installation Technician                                                                    
Department:  Installers
Reports to: Installation Coordinator/VP Sales & Marketing
Supervises:  NA
 
Job Summary:  The Installation Technician is a vital position that will install various kitchen equipment. This is a high energy and fast paced position, suitable for an individual with experience in providing technical services through a field service network.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Deliver equipment to jobsites with trailer and/or box truck.
  • Unload semis with forklift on jobsites
  • Install kitchen equipment and HVAC units.
  • Build walk in coolers and freezers.
  • Keep installation coordinator up to date on project progress.
 
Additional Duties:
  • Some out of town travel will be required but will be limited.
  • Be alert to activities that waste supplies, utilities and time.
  • Read and follow company procedure manual and safety rules.
  • Maintain a positive image at all times.
  • Other duties as needed.
 
 
Skills:            
Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, professionalism, strong verbal and written communication, ability to work independently, self-starter, safety conscious, computer skills, organization and planning abilities, ability to read and understand complicated service manuals, blueprints and schematics. Forklift experience preferred.
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our auto insurance
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a back ground check
  • Ability to work flexible hours; potential overtime, holiday
  • Must be highly safety conscious.  Abide by lockout/tag-out training
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, problem solving and organizational skills. 
  • Strong ability to read, write and speak the English language, fluently
  • Ability to work independently or as a team player
  • The ability to work with customers, co-workers, and factory personnel in a courteous and tactful manner to resolve problems
  • The ability to concentrate, handle pressure, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills.  Motivated, outgoing, self-starter.  Able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Construction Industry knowledge
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel with the ability to adapt quickly to custom software

Typical Physical Demands:  Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. Lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
 
Typical Mental Demands:  Must be able to able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action given the particular situation.  Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.  Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.  Must relate and interact with co-workers, customers, sub agents and factory personnel.  Customer demands can produce some stressful situations, but these are considered occasional rather than the rule.
