Vice President, Media Activation (Brand)

The VP, Media Activation - Brand will lead Goodway Group's fully remote, brand-side media activation team of 100+ employees. In this role, you will directly oversee Media Directors, driving media investment, activation, execution, optimization, and performance across all brand business. You will partner with other senior team members to operationalize Goodway's brand business unit's strategic direction and ultimately ensure media activation executes with excellence. This role provides clarity, focus, leadership, management, and guidance to our Media Team along the way and prioritizes people development and accountability to be the best in the industry. 

This role requires a high-impact, visible leader to combine and deliver business insights, strategy, media activation/execution, and technology in a way that drives honestly smart digital solutions and results for Goodway's Brand Partners and supports and builds out the strength of our teams. 

 What You Will Do  

  •  Grow, develop, inspire, coach, and lead one of the most significant segments of Goodway's Business: our Brand Media Activation team.  
  • Oversee and advise internal teams on all top platforms. Leverage existing relationships at top platforms to ensure we get the most out of them, strengthening client engagement. 
  • Manage those who run the system that launches, runs, optimizes, and enables reporting on thousands of campaigns/month with high accuracy and success 
  • Define and achieve metrics for excellence around timeliness/accuracy, optimization efficacy, and communication with team and client  
  • Ensure every member of your extended team has both meaningful goals and the tools and guidance to achieve them 
  • Craft frameworks and structures that give your management teams the time and support to guide, lead, and develop their teams and provide time allocations and expectations of those managers in serving team growth. 
  • Lead a best-in-class, consultative team dedicated to growing the business through high-quality work and continuous improvement.  


What You Bring   

  •  Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a 100+ person organization while balancing engagement, buy-in, and speed 
  • Experience driving omnichannel media activation success for high-touch, national brand business, preferably within an agency setting 
  • 10+ years of experience within the digital marketing industry, with proven brand-side expertise in leadership, strategy, and tactics working across both B2b and B2c audiences (retail, e-commerce, shopper, etc.)    
  • Strong existing presence with industry vendors, platforms, and brand marketers   
  • Experience working with inclusive media owners and audiences   
  • You are constantly up on news and trends in the industry.  
  • You are a creative problem-solver working with data to solve problems and tell the story effectively.
