Techdash Communications is hiring entry level through moderate experience level technicians who are looking for a company to growth with.  We provide training, automatic pay progression, and full benefits.  Our Communications Technicians work in the telecommunications industry to support voice, data, and internet access.  We work in all types of venues, including data centers, wireline central offices, stadiums, retails stores, customer premises and wireless cell sites.  We will teach you how to install, test, and integrate equipment in all of these areas.

You will be working on your own and with others, depending on the scope of work for the day.  You will be making decisions affecting your own work and will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of your workmanship.  We reward good performance with Quarterly Bonuses.

Essential Function:

  • Performs assigned work through a ticket, email, phone call or direction from a senior technician
  • Work will include the installation or removal of telecom equipment including the cabling, mounting of cabinets and units, labeling, powering up, and testing.  Some maintenance work may also be assigned.
  • Methods of Procedures, diagrams, drawings, and product information will be used as instructions for the assigned work.
  • Perform any necessary tests, measurements or analysis using appropriate field tools/equipment.
  • Coordinate with customers and third parties to procure, track and return necessary spare parts and/or working material.
  • Provides clear verbal and written reporting of job status updates to managers and customers within specified timeframes.
  • Follows health and safety policies, as provided by techdash™ communications and any local municipality or other environmental regulations and rules.
  • Takes on-call duties for first line maintenance services when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Recommended Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in using a laptop computer with typical Microsoft software
  • Downloading and using cell phone app’s
  • Comprehending diagrams, drawings, and methods of procedure
  • Using test sets such as fiber scopes, fiber cleaning kits, test phones, volt/amp meters.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable and proficient in working independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Effective direct daily interaction with customers and customer’s contractors.
  • Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to changing business environments.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registration Requirements:

  • Required - High School Diploma
  • Preferred – Military Veterans, Associates Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience
  • Preferred - OSHA 10 Certified; required OSHA 10 certification within 30-60 days of hire
  • Required - Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, move or shift up to 60 lbs. or more weight if in conjunction with another individual required
  • Ability to carry, set up and climb an A-frame ladder up to 10 feet in height required

Other Job Requirements:

  • Ability to write, hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone in English
  • Ability to travel between job sites daily is a must; some overnight travel is required
  • Must be willing to work days/nights/weekends and be on-call depending on project demands
