Loan Officer Assistant/ Production Assistant

The Loan Officer Assistant/Production Assistant (LOA/PA) plays a crucial role in supporting Loan Officers by assisting in the generation of new business and overseeing loan files from inception to completion. Acting as a vital link between Borrowers, Loan Officers, Realtors, and Operations staff, this position facilitates effective communication throughout the process. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage lending, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of loan programs and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication with clients to complete mortgage loan applications.
  • Accurately input data into Encompass loan origination system.
  • Pull credit and coordinate with licensed Loan Officer to schedule client meetings.
  • Order necessary reports, gather documentation and prepare files for processing.
  • Maintain regular communication with Realtor, Loan Officer and Operations staff thought out the loan process to ensure all parties are updated on status, aware of outstanding documentation, time frames etc.
  • Follow up on requested conditions, stipulations and additional documentation as necessary.
  • Assist Loan Officer in marketing efforts including contacting realtors, builders, past customers etc. Additionally, collaborating with marketing department to assist with events, request marketing materials, etc.
  • Additional duties as needed in support of the loan process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any major preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the mortgage industry preferred.
  • Strong experience using Encompass loan origination system preferred.
  • Experience using Total Expert a plus.
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan programs and lending process preferred.
