JOB SUMMARY

GoHealth Urgent Care partners with Health Systems at the forefront of care and delivery innovation. Our network includes partnerships with major Health Systems across the country.

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for leading the design and development of high-quality learning solutions for various training programs across the organization. This role will focus on creating engaging and effective e-learning courses and interactive materials for key stakeholders, including frontline teammates, People Business Partners, and other Access Clinical Partners. Key responsibilities include: Design and develop impactful e-learning courses using Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline. Familiarity with Vyond for video creation and WorkDay for HRIS is a plus. Work closely with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and identify optimal instructional strategies. Create engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules, interactive content, and videos, adhering to instructional design best practices. Collaborate with the Learning Solutions Senior Manager and organizational customers to perform gap analyses and develop targeted curriculum designs. Oversee the implementation of instructional design best practices, evaluate learning solution effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for enhancements. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior instructional design team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Manage multiple projects with flexibility and ease, ensuring high standards of quality and timely delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
 
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Theory, Instructional Technology or related field
 
Work Experience 6+ experience in Instructional Design and Instructional Technology
 
Required Licenses/Certifications

Instructional Design Experience: 5+ years of experience in instructional design and working with instructional technology, with a strong focus on eLearning development tools such as Storyline (required), Captivate, Adapt, or similar.
Template Creation: Ability to create and edit templates in PowerPoint and Word.
Training Material Development: Ability to create Instructor-Led Training (ILT) / Virtual Instructor-Led Training (vILT) materials, as well as Leader/Facilitator Guides.
Knowledge of Learning Theories: Excellent understanding of learning theories and instructional design models.
Curriculum Planning: Strong skills in lesson and curriculum planning.
Basic HTML: Basic understanding of HTML.
Learning Management Systems: Working experience with at least one Learning Management System (Litmos, Brainier, and/or Cornerstone experience preferred).
Visual Design Skills: Proficiency in visual design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard effectively.
Copywriting: Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts.
Voiceover Artistry: Ability to record voiceover audio files to supplement instructional design visuals.
Healthcare Knowledge: Background in healthcare or healthcare operations is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
Responsibilities include:
•    Create/update engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
•    Provide support to the Director of Talent & Learning, Lead Learning Solutions Architect, and Clinical Learning Manager on the team to update current courses to the latest software.
•    Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
•    Visualizing instructional graphics: create new and update older graphics used in learning materials.
•    Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods.
•    Create /edit/update supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, web-based training, etc.)
•    Maintain project documentation and course folders.
•    Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
•    Troubleshoot technical problems via reported user issues and apply fixes when needed.
