Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000
Compensation Range with Bonus: $176,000 - $187,000

The Regional Finance Director is a key team member of the finance group. As a leader within finance, the position encompasses various aspects of financial planning, analysis, and forecasting in an effort to increase regional performance, improve the company’s bottom line, and efficiently use the company’s balance sheet to finance projects. The position includes heavy involvement with operational staff, including project accountants, project directors, and superintendents, to understand and drive financial and operational excellence.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews various financial reports and data to provide meaningful insights to the organization.
  • Outlines and implements regional budgets.
  • Uses data analysis to forecast financial trends strategically.
  • Works with and advises the operations and sales teams on solid financial decision-making to increase profits, minimize losses, and efficiently use working capital to finance projects.
  • Provides strategic financial planning advice to the office and regional management to support short-term and long-term growth.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial data and presents the information with reports and presentations to the executive leadership team.
  • Stays abreast of current market trends and patterns and acts accordingly.
  • Assesses company spending and works to reduce costs.
  • Drive collections and adherence to company escalation procedures on past due for strategic customers and projects.
  • Manages project accountants, training any new employees as necessary.
  • Possesses a clear understanding of and adheres to current laws and regulations.
  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results to plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitors adherence to company best practices and notifies the appropriate parties of any potential concerns.
  • Maintains and analyzes key metrics utilizing a data warehouse and the Power BI business intelligence tool.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • This role supervises three to four finance team members.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 Years in a similar role or within the construction industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with MS Office suite (with a high level of proficiency with excel) and ability to quickly grasp new systems and software.
  • Team player – able to collaborate at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Experience utilizing/working in ERP systems.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required MBA preferred.

TRAVEL:

Travel to support branch locations (10-25% of the time).  Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
