Health & Wellness Specialist
Description
- Plans, schedules, executes, and evaluates wellness programs to ensure continuous year-round opportunities for employees to become educated and participate in programs related to physical, financial, social, and emotional well-being.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of education, events and communication materials that support the overall well-being of employees.
- Collaborates with various company departments and external vendors to execute health and wellness goals based off the 8 dimensions of wellness.
- Maintains the online presence of the health and wellness team on various platforms.
- Maintains attendance logs and financial data to compile reports..
- Collects and evaluates appropriate wellness program data to support return on investment (ROI) and utilization to measure success of wellness programs and initiatives.
- Maintains files related to health and wellness.
- Researches and resolves employee wellness complaints or concerns in a timely manner; seeks guidance from manager as necessary.
- Develops and implements wellness incentive programs with onsite medical vendor.
- Develops and implements assessment plans to determine the population and subpopulation health and lifestyle needs; assembles and analyzes data to design an “Annual Strategic Wellness Plan.”
- Conducts ergonomic trainings and evaluations at the direction of the Health and Wellness Manager; performs follow-up evaluations as necessary.
- Plans and executes onsite services for employees such as annual flu vaccines and mobile mammogram screenings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Health Science, Kinesiology, Public Health , or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in Health and Wellness or related experience
Pay: $26.78-30/hr
