Essential Functions:
  • Provides full cycle administrative support for work injuries at all locations including, but not limited to: coordinating medical attention and transportation, providing information regarding workers compensation entitlements and process, and reporting claims via TPA system.
  • Serves as point-of-contact for employees and responds to inquiries regarding injuries, workers compensation benefits, and claim issues.
  • Acts as First Responder for first aid injuries and completes Worker’s Compensation Injury Report for incidents/accidents.
  • Conducts the interactive and return to work process with employees. Coordinates light duty accommodations as needed.
  • Corresponds with external medical providers regarding employees’ injuries, medical visits, and progress.
  • Supports claims adjuster with all relevant facts and information for proper and timely management of claim files related to: benefits, work restriction accommodations and return to work dates.
  • Works with legal team regarding cases. Discusses case issues, prepares summaries, and attends legal depositions.
  • Completes all data entry duties to ensure employee work injury claim records are maintained and updated, both internally in HRIS and externally for carriers/providers on a regular basis.
  • Researches and resolves employee complaints or concerns related to claims in a timely manner; seeks guidance from direct manager/supervisor as necessary.
  • Investigates work injuries by meeting with involved parties, witnesses and obtains statements.
  • Provides workers compensation training for management and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Partners with Benefits Team on leave of absences related to work injuries. Communicates with EH&S Team regarding safety concerns and suggestions.
  • Supports all Risk Management efforts by recommending ergonomic assessments, and safety evaluations when needs are identified for employees or depts.
  • Supports Safety and HR in regular meetings, fire drills, Health and Safety fairs, and translation when needed.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of work experience in Human Resources environment, preferably in Workers Compensation, a plus.
  • Occupational medical experience preferred
  • Worker's comp claims experience
Pay Range: $20.00-26.00p/hr
