Team Lead – Visual Arts
Description
- Assists management with the creative development of new or revised stories and campaigns for assigned corporate initiatives; advises fellow designers on best practices and creative execution across various types of collateral, providing designers with the guidance and technical assistance to create stronger design solutions.
- Assists management with determining allocation and prioritization of projects among available graphic design resources, helping to maximize productivity of personnel and ensure on-time delivery of projects.
- Assists management to optimize process workflows involving or affecting visual arts personnel.
- Assists in the direction and development of style guides designed to capture approved colors, fonts, layouts and other visual arts elements of specific company brands.
- Participates in campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution. Ensures that the quality of artwork, typography, and layout deliverables meet company brand standards.
- Collaborates with relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure approval of and satisfaction with design elements.
- Partners closely with internal stakeholders (marketing leads, product managers, content strategists, web developers, communications, events, and C-suite executives) to translate business needs into effective visual solutions.
- Works as assigned in cross-functional teams with subject matter specialists in other departments to conceptualize, produce, and deliver creative content within determined deadlines.
- Attends department and company meetings as requested in order to keep abreast of team, department, and company priorities.
- Monitors the creative workflow, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and ensure on-time turnaround and a high-quality output.
- Proofs and revises/approves various projects prior to printing.
- Assists in the organization and maintenance of electronic files and file organization on the appropriate servers.
- Conceptualizes and generates graphic design mockups and layouts for new print projects, including but not limited to brochures, ads, catalogs, flyers, case stuffers, prescription (Rx) books, postcards, posters, and magazine articles. Updates and/or refreshes project designs as needed.
- Conceptualizes and generates logos and other artistic elements for wide range of company brands, entities, and customer audiences.
- Collaborates with relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure approval of and satisfaction with design elements.
- Color-corrects, masks, and enhances or optimizes photographic or artistic images using Adobe Photoshop.
- Conceptualizes and generates graphic design content for digital marketing channels, including but not limited to websites, emails, landing pages, banner ads, social media, presentations, and more. Ensure alignment of aesthetics with usability and optimization of various mediums.
- Links comma separated value (CSV) files to Adobe InDesign documents.
- Conceptualizes, produce, and applies or delivers physical art such as vinyl, posters, signage, product packaging, gifts, and more for distribution and/or special events.
- Assist with international language translation of select collateral as able.
- Assists in the art direction, styling, and preparation of photography sessions.
- Conceptualizes and generates Adobe InDesign templates for other graphic designers to use for future projects, ensures consistency, conformance with company standards, and maximum efficiency.
- Familiarity with established and emerging AI tools for rapid ideation, on-brand delivery, and rapid refinement.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience.
Pay Range: $33.00 to $44.55/ hr
