This is your opportunity to join an innovative organization on the ground level and become an integral part of our mission to save lives through clean energy. We are looking for a passionate, energetic self-starter who will work closely with the GivePower leadership team to help organize, manage and execute on key projects. As an Assembler, you will be instrumental in helping GivePower accomplish ambitious goals by building GivePower’s Solar Water Farm products in our warehouse in Austin. You will have the opportunity to work on the manufacture and assembly of projects that will be deployed around the globe. Your role will be responsible for adhering to the production timeline for GivePower’s Solar Water Farms, maintaining a high build quality standard, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be contributing greatly to the level of GivePower’s impact firsthand and be an instrumental team member creating sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

  • Read and understand engineering drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions
  • Read and follow SOP’s and OEM equipment manuals to adhere to best installation practices
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in GivePower’s Solar Water Farms
  • Perform as projects require: basic trades including assembly and installation of fabricated equipment, plumbing, electrical, and hand tools
  • Operate light to medium equipment including forklift, scissor lift, and other lifting equipment
  • Maintain high levels of workmanship and installation quality
  • Provide complete and thorough documentation in process and upon completion of each project including inspection, calibration, commissioning, and Final Acceptance Testing
  • Understand and properly use all issued PPE
  • Troubleshooting and servicing solar systems
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Attributes:

  • 2+ years in assembly manufacturing
  • Take pride in your craftsmanship
  • Experience with DC control systems and basic wiring
  • Strong focus on providing timely solutions and deliverables
  • Experience working with Powerwall, welding and/or plasma cutters

  • Experience with 5S and Kaizen a plus
