YOUR ROLE

This is your opportunity to join an innovative organization on the ground level and become an integral part of our mission to save lives through clean energy. We are looking for a passionate, energetic self-starter who will work closely with the GivePower leadership team to help organize, manage and execute on key projects. As the Global Operations and Maintenance Manager, you will be instrumental in helping GivePower accomplish ambitious goals by running the operations and maintenance of GivePower’s award winning Solar Water Farms around the world. Working closely with the VP of Operations and the VP of Deployment you will have the opportunity to travel all around the world to keep our Solar Water Farms operating at their peak capacity.  You will work with cutting edge products and designs and get to work firsthand to create technological solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering and Design

  • Provide ongoing technical support for GivePower’s existing installed network of Solar Water Farms
  • Lead start up and commissioning processes for new Solar Water Farms, including training local staff and developing programs to allow for remote commissioning
  • Build in-country capacity and expertise to operate, maintain and troubleshoot GivePower’s network of Solar Water Farms
  • Assist in evaluating feasibility of new project sites by reviewing water analyses, system designs and local water quality requirements to ensure long term viability of a project
  • Recommend system design changes to allow for maximum up-time and production
  • Design, implement and manage training programs for local operators, including daily operating checklists, failure reports, and standard maintenance schedules
  • Develop O&M program to allow for rapid expansion of Solar Water Farms
  • Coordinate with outside contract engineering or volunteer resources to facilitate onsite repairs when required
  • Assist with procurement of equipment, spares and consumables as required
  • Advise on inventory items at GivePower USA, as well as local inventory items to ensure maximum system up time
  • Establish, optimize, and manage ongoing monitoring platforms for efficient data/ troubleshooting visibility for rest of staff to utilize.
  • Monitor and document water quality with periodic testing

Administrative

  • Work within budgets and timelines set by management
  • Maintain central records of all documents generated at the facilities
  • Track all warranties and ensure they are properly registered

Travel Requirement: 25 – 50%
