Gigamon is seeking a top-tier candidate for a Content Strategy Manager role responsible for facilitating and executing outbound digital content marketing programs to support and optimize a content marketing factory. Responsibilities will include overall content strategy to support creation of high-value, high-return content for demand generation and brand awareness from initial planning to final review and global distribution.

This person will be seen as a valuable team player and aspiring leader who can easily built trust-based relationships and influence others with ease and passion to drive strategic and cross-functional alignment.

Position responsibilities:

  • Be the steward of the overall content lifecycle management system, including creation, editing, approvals, publishing/activation, auditing, measurement, curation and maintenance
  • Ownership of the Gigamon content development processes, including documentation of internal processes for content creation and review and management of an editorial calendar and related content maps that schedule, inform, and catalog enterprise-wide content use
  • Ability to author and/or edit develop articles, blogs, email marketing messages, case studies, and promotional copywriting, including headlines, landing page copy, and related web copy to support both demand and awareness building efforts; while also being able to manage any external writing resources
  • Ability to very easily write clean, concise, well-polished copy consistent with our company’s brand tone and messaging
  • Drive content strategy and governance efforts using audience insights, personas, messaging, competitive information and feedback from product marketing and/or other internal domain experts to make strategic recommendations for topic alignment and prioritization
  • Manage the overall plan for localization and translation of high-value content assets to support regional needs
  • Provide and report on content KPIs using Web analytics tools or social media tools to make recommendations for optimizing content quality, processes and activation
  • Support and evangelize corporate brand and content governance practices
  • Push the business to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution channels
  • Work efficiently and easily with cross-functional teams including upstream content contributors and downstream content activators
  • Use current SEO best practices and trends, including keyword research and optimization to fuel content insights
  • Management of the corporate blog site

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a content marketing, content strategy, or writing role
  • Experience in a corporate marketing environment, digital marketing agency, internal creative/studio team, or as freelance writer working with B2B technology clients
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; Journalism background is a nice bonus
  • An independent thinker with intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage content projects with many moving parts
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration with consensus-building and trust-building skills
  • Comfortable presenting plans and results to cross-functional team members, including upper management and executives
  • Solid expertise in SEO best practices, keyword research and optimization
  • Creative and innovative – can see the “story” in information
  • Fast learner, can understand new technologies and changes to processes
  • Flexible and able to shift strategies and tactics when required
  • Detail-oriented, well organized, efficient with time management
