Gigamon is seeking a Senior Sales Director for our North Central region (based in Chicago), where you'll lead an established team to drive revenue growth and strategic direction. This hybrid role emphasizes collaboration, as you’ll manage major accounts, develop client relationships, and create a regional business plan. Reporting to the executive leadership, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the success of our sales initiatives and the overall growth of the company.
What You’ll Do:
- Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and coach your sales team, setting a positive example.
- Business Performance: Drive performance in the North Central region, achieving revenue targets and goals.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies for both new and existing Enterprise customers.
- Client Management: Build exceptional relationships with major accounts and coordinate resources to meet customer needs.
- Channel Development: Create and implement a regional channel strategy to enhance sales opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams like R&D and product management to align on product strategies and customer solutions.
- Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and leverage insights to identify new opportunities.
What You’ve Done:
- Experience: 15+ years in technology sales, with at least 3 years managing a quota-carrying team.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and developing effective sales strategies in the North Central region.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong background in security, networking, and cloud-based IT solutions.
Who You Are:
- Characteristics: A self-starter with strong leadership and mentorship skills, thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
- Preferences: Familiarity with Salesforce and a proven ability to build and run a Channel model.
Compensation:
The targeted base salary range for this role is $176,000 - $220,000, plus potential annual bonuses or commissions. Actual compensation may vary based on the company’s practices. Employees also benefit from comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and other perks.
Travel Requirements: Some travel may be necessary to engage with clients and partners effectively.
