Sr Manager, SW QA Engineering - Mobility
Description
- Manage the GigaSMART Functional QA teams for the Gigamon’s network visibility suite comprising of Mobility (4G/5G) solutions.
- Implement comprehensive automation gates to ensure functional accuracy, monitor the automation effectiveness through CI/CD, and follow an automated first model.
- Manage resources effectively to deliver commitments on schedule, cultivate a high performing team and constantly raise the bar, ability to attract, groom and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with peer development and QA teams, architecture, customer support, and product line management.
- Work with team for a functional testing strategy with focus on automation and customer use cases.
- As a key member of the Engineering management staff, contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development/QA processes, quality and productivity of test functions.
- Responsible for field escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issues.
- Understand Product architecture and its implications on feature and system testing.
- 14-18 years (or more) of overall relevant industry experience and a track record of shipping core-networking products for the enterprise and service provider markets.
- At least 5 years of experience as a first/second-line manager leading the QA of networking software.
- Direct experience with designing and testing complex system/infrastructure software for Network Security technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of network management concepts and networking protocols is must (e.g. TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, TLS/SSL, IPv4, IPv6, REST).
- Experience with Network processors platforms like Cavium/Broadcom.
- Experience with various test automation framework (Robot, Python) and test automation tools.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Mobility (LTE, 5G concepts) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of any current virtualization software, tools, protocols, and standards, including vCenter, VMware ESXi/NSX-T, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.).
- Deep understanding of full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall).
- Manage major software release deliveries as a release manager.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills, both within the team and across the organization.
- Ability to mentor/coach/teach/facilitate and lead change in a highly technical/dynamic team environment.
- BS in CS or EE, MS strongly preferred.
