As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Gigamon, you will play a critical role in validating our industry-leading network visibility fabric products. You will join a dynamic, cross-functional team focused on delivering high-quality solutions for complex networking environments. Your expertise in test automation and networking will directly contribute to our product quality goals, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions for our global customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with functional test teams to develop and enhance testing strategies and approaches.
  • Partner with development teams to design and implement automation-focused functional test strategies, including customer use case-centric and functional test cases.
  • Design, develop, and fully automate functional, usability, and performance testing suites.
  • Deliver high-quality test automation code and drive improvements in automation coverage.
  • Identify and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity and testing processes.

What you’ve done:

  • Earned a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Accumulated 6+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, development, and/or automation within virtualization and networking domains.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with test automation frameworks (such as Robot, Python) and tools (such as Cypress).
  • Proven experience testing networking and security products.
  • Gained expertise in various aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Acquired knowledge of network management concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, L2/L3, IPv4, IPv6, NAT, REST).
  • Developed a strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL protocols, REST services, and hands-on experience testing them.
  • Validated deliverables in virtualized environments and created test beds for functional testing.
  • Communicated effectively in both verbal and written forms.
Nice to have:
  • Technical knowledge of current virtualization software, tools, protocols, and standards (e.g., vCenter, VMware ESXi).
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch and HA-Proxy.
  • Experience with Amazon and other cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to network testing equipment such as Spirent, XENA, or TREX.
