The Capability Maturity Model Integration, or CMMI, is a model that helps organizations effectuate process improvement and develop behaviors that decrease risks in service, product, and software development. As a contract program manager for CMMI at Gigamon, you will lead and work with stakeholders within Gigamon to assess and evaluate how the organization’s processes compare to CMMI best practices and to determine and prioritize areas of improvement, creating an approved roadmap and detailed SOW to achieve Managed and Defined CMMI maturity level with 18 month timeframe, through SCAMPI Class Appraisal method.


The contract is 3 months long, during which the candidate is expected to complete the evaluation and create a roadmap, SOW, and a prioritized list of work items to achieve the Managed and Defined CMMI maturity levels. The contract may be extended to drive the successful adoption of CMMI within Gigamon and completion of the appraisal of these CMMI maturity levels.




In-depth knowledge of and prior experience with CMMI appraisal process and appraisal methods, including evaluating process and service development, service establishment and management, and product and service acquisition, with detailed understanding of CMMI Managed and Defined maturity levels, and SCAMPI Class B appraisal method.


Self-motivated with demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and within a team. 7-10 years of project and program management experience.


Experience working with engineering teams that covers a broad range of technology, including hardware, embedded, web, cloud, and SAAS, and service organization with a broad customer base, from enterprise customers to service providers.
