Sr. Sales Engineer - New York City
Description
- Lead technical sales engagements, showcasing Gigamon’s products and solutions through compelling presentations and demonstrations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by designing tailored network monitoring architectures that meet customers’ business needs.
- Independently manage proof-of-concept (POC) engagements and product evaluations from initial planning through successful completion.
- Provide expert-level technical support throughout the sales cycle, addressing technical objections and positioning Gigamon’s competitive advantages.
- Act as a technical liaison between field teams, customers, partners, and Gigamon’s corporate functions to streamline communications and resolve issues.
- Mentor customers, partners, and internal teams on emerging technologies, competitive landscapes, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with sales account managers and partners to drive revenue growth within enterprise accounts.
- Maintain and nurture key technical relationships at all levels within customer organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8–10 years of proven experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect, focused explicitly on networking, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with VMware, Nutanix, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network architectures, security frameworks, and performance monitoring technologies.
- Previous customer-facing experience and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical and business value propositions in written and verbal communication.
- Proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and technical credibility.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
