The Analytics team at Getty Images is seeking an individual who’s passionate about analytics and finding solutions to complex business issues. You have the right combination of intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial sense to identify truth within massive amounts of data with speed and efficiency. You feel at home in the gray area of analytics with the end to end skills to pull data in novel ways, translate data into ideas, and ultimately story-tell those ideas into solutions.
Your Next Challenge:
The Business Analyst role is both a support and thought leader role within a central analytics team inside Getty Images. The role will be a business partner to various functions (including Sales, Marketing, and Content), assisting in various ad hoc projects at times when the business needs to better understand business trends and develop strategies for growth.
- Investigate and report key business indicators to the leadership teams of each respective function with a focus on decision-driving analytics. We try and reduce ‘analytics for analytics sake’ as much as possible.
- Develop customer- and segment-insights to drive acquisition, retention and cross/upsell strategies.
- Understand our imagery from multiple angles, always with an eye toward improving our business-model
- Develop dynamic and analytics driven reports using Looker
What You’ll Need:
1-3 years of work experience in a highly analytical field preferred, specifically consulting, finance, business analytics
Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical discipline
Technical skills are a must. SQL knowledge and experience working with complex data sets in a non-straightforward way preferred
Looker experience is a big plus
Advanced Excel financial modeling skills required
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences; also at a junior and senior level
Ability to communicate technical insights to a non-technical audience
