ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accountable to maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Communication, Attendance, and Detail Oriented are essential functions of this position. 
  • Maintain payroll, equipment and job files in Viewpoint, Heavy Job, Heavy Bid and Equipment 360.
  • Process daily payroll time and project information.
  • Process and produce weekly payroll files.
  • Prepare and enter weekly GRI certified payroll reports.
  • Prepare miscellaneous documents and reports as needed.
  • Prepare Monthly/Final Reports as needed for Federal/State Projects.
  • Prepare and provide documentation for Extra Work Reports.
  • Review Union agreements as necessary.
  • Assist with monthly contribution reports to trust funds
  • Compose correspondence efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain integrity with agencies and owners.
  • Promote team atmosphere and work environment.
  • Assist with Craft Employee training.
  • Assist with employee appreciation gatherings as needed.
  • Knowledgeable and able to assist with Certified Payroll job duties.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Weekly verification of foreman timecards for correct pay hours and rate of pay.
  • Attend seminars, meetings and classes as requested, to remain knowledgeable in all areas of responsibility.
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to use and understand Viewpoint (Vista), HCSS (Heavy bid and Heavy job), LCP Tracker, Emars, and DIR.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Minimum two years’ experience processing Union Payroll.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects utilizing organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Must be a positive, proactive, organized, and strong team participant with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be capable of functioning in fast paced demanding working environment.
