What Will You do in this Role?

As our 2nd Shift's Production Supervisor, you will be given the opportunity to assist our 2nd Shift Production Manager in overseeing the PA Allied Wire and Cable warehouse's daily work flow. You will have the chance to touch multiple facets of the production process, including personnel allocations, communication with sales, and all other day-to-day issues related to our warehouse and production activities. Some of these duties include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Day to day management of all processes
  • Monitor personnel staffing for each day and make changes when necessary
  • Assess production workload to determine if overtime or additional personnel allocations are needed
  • Monitor and resolve any issues with production tickets
  • Maintain department lead times and adjust as needed
  • Ensure all value added tickets are processed to meet lead times and due dates
  • Communicate with sales regarding unclear comments, issues with requests, and lead times
  • Create a continuous improvement minded culture within departments
  • Ensure all employees adhere to AWC safety policies
  • Monitor and approve all time off requests, attendance issues, and approval of time cards bi-weekly
  • Perform 30/60/90 day reviews on new employees, as well as End of Year reviews for all employees
  • Recruit, select, coach, and motivate employees
  • Initiate and administer disciplinary corrective actions as needed
  • Participate in Operations Leadership meetings and activities
