Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the lead in coordinating and planning organizational and joint collaborative meetings, communications, conferences and events.  
  • Coordinating the technical resources and arrangements for event venues. 
  • Maintaining close communications with Marketing to ensure execution of marketing objectives and materials to support conference and event planning.
  • Entering and retrieving electronic data into established forms and computer systems quickly and accurately.
  • Composing correspondence in response to incoming mail, calls. Must have the ability to generate original correspondence from notes with minimal oral direction.
  • Generating reports, creating and maintaining spreadsheets and word documents. Proofreading reports.

Required:

  • Minimum of Associates degree in business or management or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in an increasingly responsible administrative support role.
  • Strong Microsoft tools experience with demonstrated proficient in Excel and spreadsheet management
  • Ability to travel 25-30%.
  • Experience in Industrial Automation technology or higher education/training a plus.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times and on all levels to protect M&A and Supplier activities
  • Significant ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines, while maintaining relations with executives, managers and customers.
  • Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts, and other information
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong sense of diplomacy, discretion and appropriate judgment when addressing callers and customers.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of accountability prioritizing and completing tasks to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong command of grammar to compose and proof correspondence.
  • Demonstrating a positive and engaging personality for interfacing with customers and GCG employees.
