JOB SUMMARY

The Customer Operations Manager (COM) plays a vital role within Genuine Cable Group. The COM acts as a conduit between our sales team and warehouse staff, acting as a key cog that helps Operations maintain efficiency. Clear and concise communication is the most important skillset of a successful COM as this role interacts with both internal and external customers. The Customer Operations Manager is a proven problem-solver with excellent attention to detail and an ability to multitask as needed. The COM role is typically responsible for several warehouses and works closely with our sales staff and warehouse managers while reporting up to the Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary internal contact for warehouse-related issues serving as liaison between sales representatives (both inside and outside) and warehouse personnel
  • Maintain and improve efficiencies of procedures and business processes
  • Lead for shipment issues for assigned location(s), including working with shipping partners on freight claims
  • Expedite and prioritize customer orders (internally) as needed and maintain system integrity with updates
  • Work with Quality/ISO to maintain logs, procedures, assistance with audits
  • Manage Inventory Control for shipping locations
    • Inventory Transaction including Stock Transfers and Tracing Transactions
    • Cycle count management – removal of scrap lengths
    • Work with Procurement for to improve/maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • RMA approval/receipt (with management approval as needed based on dollar amount)
    • Maintain an updated Sharepoint log of RMA’s for respective warehouses
  • Coordinate with Sales Team to prioritize open orders and convey prioritized orders to the warehouse
  • Monitor/manage open order report and maintain accuracy for shipment dates
  • Create new part numbers as needed by sales team
  • Close out Drop-Shipment orders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Excellent analytical and mechanical skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Innovative, proactive, and self-directed
  • Able to work in a team environment and fulfilling objectives with minimum direct supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Oracle business software experience is a plus

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree Preferred
  • 5-10 years of Inside Sales or Operations Experience
