JOB SUMMARY:

 

Responsible to supervise and coordinate the activities of assembly/test operations for work cells per the production plan in support of our cost, quality and inventory goals.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assist Production Manager with hiring, training and directing the activities of production personnel. Develop personnel to meet the needs of the business.

 

Execute production schedules/plans per the business plan.

 

Direct the activities of production personnel for work cells.

 

Evaluate personnel and recommend changes to Manager. Assure backups are in place for all products and processes.

 

Commit to and meet the daily ship schedule for assigned work cells.

 

Transact/control jobs on the production floor for assigned work cells.

 

Provide support for process execution and job transaction status.

 

Assure labor standards are met and workmanship standards and material control policies are adhered to for assigned work cells.

 

Work with Production Manager to process vacation requests/schedules.

 

Promote continuous improvement and total quality concepts in all areas of responsibility.

 

Promote an organized and clean work area in compliance with LEAN 5S and FOD (Foreign Object Damage policy).

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

- 5+ years experience in manufacturing management of electronic components/systems

- Excellent verbal communication skills and computer literacy

- Technical knowledge and work experience in cable and harness assembly preferred

- ISO 9001 experience a definite plus
