The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for implementing and managing GCG’s recruiting programs, ensuring that the staffing process aligns with current and future workforce needs including diversity applicant flow and maintaining all regulatory compliance.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with hiring managers and Human Resources team on all job openings taking into account budgeting headcount and vacancy priority.
  • Determining strategies for attracting qualified diverse candidates.
  • Working with leadership to develop and implement standardized best practices in talent acquisition.
  • Utilizing Applicant Tracking System (Jobvite) for hiring process.
  • Ensuring that all hiring practices are in accordance with federal and local laws.
  • Maintaining recruitment documents including requisition data forms, requisition folders, interview notes and input of appropriate disqualification codes.
  • Executing the complete life cycle of recruitment including:
    • Determining qualification for applicants to be considered candidates
    • Conducting phone screens
    • Preparing Human Resources Review templates for internal candidates
    • Presenting top-notch candidates to the Hiring Manager for review
      Creating selected candidate offers
    • Initiating all pre-employment screens as need by position and ensuring results comply with Company standards
    • Communicating and coordinating candidate start-date and information regarding new hire orientation
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with local educational institutions, community outreach with vocation schools and partnerships with state/local labor departments
    • Participating in job fairs, career events and public speaking engagements related to recruiting.


  • Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 5-7 years recruiting experience required (preferably 3+ years in a manufacturing or distribution environment) 
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system.
