GCG is seeking a motivated, service-oriented Customer Advocate to join our C & E Advanced Controls team in Miamisburg, OH. In this role, you will assist customers over the phone and via electronic inquiries, enter customer orders and quotes into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and provide support to our outside sales professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Enter customer quotes into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Obtain correct part numbers and pricing and ensure the correct account is used
  • Partner with the Purchasing Department for expedited orders and vendor communication
  • Process customer orders over the phone, fax, email, and chat
  • Contact vendors to place orders and obtain lead times
  • Follow up on orders to proactively advise customers on the status of their order and enters accurate notes into the customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Enter into the call queue to receive inbound customer calls and remain available for calls throughout the day
  • Provide administrative support to outside sales staff as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.


What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma (required)
  • 1-2 years (minimum) of experience in a related field or industry, or any equivalent combination of education and experience; previous customer service experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of ERP or CRM software preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communications skills, especially telephone presence
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, establish priorities, and meet deadlines


Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specifi!c vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen and small numbers.
