About the Role

Genuine Cable Group is currently seeking focused, career-oriented inside sales professionals to join our New Business Development (NBD) team and support a newly launched sales initiative!  In this role, you will leverage strong communication skills and sales expertise to drive revenue growth and cultivate strong, long-standing business relationships with new and existing customers in the industrial automation space, fortifying GCG’s presence as a preferred partner for connectivity and industrial automation solutions.

*For the right candidates, we are open to a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of 1 to 2 days per week in office after training has concluded.*

What you’ll do

  • Develop in-depth familiarity with GCG industrial automation product suite to provide customers with best-in-class solutions
  • Nurture relationships with existing GCG customers to increase sales revenue as product offerings continue to expand
  • Research and prospect for new business leads within targeted markets utilizing a consultative sales approach that facilitates return business
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements with customers and vendors as book of business steadily grows

What you’ll bring

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • 3 to 5 years of business-to-business sales experience; previous experience within manufacturing or industrial automation preferred but not required
  • Thorough, demonstrated understanding of all aspects of sales process including cold calling and prospecting, handling of objections, closing, and follow-up
  • Previous CRM experience strongly preferred
