Manage our Robotics business!  The Robotic Product Manager is responsible for sales, sales support, training, qualifying robotics integration partners, and managing p&l. Join a company that is growing! Miamisburg, OH location with hybrid home office. 60-70% travel.

The Robotic Group Product Manager is responsible for the promotion of all products in the robotics offering.  While this position is generally sales in nature, we are seeking strong leadership and managerial skills.  The position will require the ability to provide technical assistance for the products, develop and qualify robotics integration partners, develop seminars/trainings, budgeting, planning and P&L capabilities for the Robotic Group.  This position will have responsibility for growing the robotic lines for C&E and GCG throughout our entire geography.

Responsibilities include:

  • Gathering product information from various sources (catalogues, manuals, order forms, etc.) and organizing it into an accessible and easy-to-use format.
  • Managing supplier relationships with robotic product group manufacturers.
  • Preparing annual budget and planning for Robotics group and ensuring profitability of group.
  • Managing a team of 2-5 people.
  • Attending planning sessions with sales to set strategies for product sales growth.
  • Developing and maintaining extensive knowledge of product offerings, specifications, and order codes to assist sales staff, customers, and customer service with product selection.
  • Educating and training sales staff, customer service, and marketing on basic robotic principles, pricing, and product information.
  • Providing pre and post-sales support for robotic products. Works with the sales staff to ensure they understand product highlights and features and to develop talking points for customer calls.
  • Staying abreast of industry updates, changes, and trends and identifying gaps in product offerings.
  • Developing and conducting presentations about C&E products to various audiences.
  • Participating in company podcasts and videos regarding the assigned product lines supported by this role.
  • Work on various stages of Robotic projects to include:  System Sizing, Simulation, Proof of Concept, Commissioning, Troubleshooting, Testing and Debugging.
  • Working closely with Robotic Sales Specialist to provide seamless customer service, understanding the specific needs of each customer and project.
  • Conducting basic training for customers.
  • Developing close relationships with key robotic integration partners.
  • Exercising project management skills by assisting with quoting, budgeting and project timelines.

Required:

  • An Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Design, or related program.  Commensurate experience will be considered for qualification.
  • Experience with Robotics required and Mobile Robotics preferred.
  • Experience in the Automation industry as an Engineer, Technologist is preferred.
  • Successful track record with product management, p&l, and managing people.
  • Working knowledge of Industrial networks.
  • Knowledgeable regarding the manufacturing processes from major vertical markets we serve. (ie..F&B, Pharma, Automotive, Material Handling, Logistics)
