Warehouse Associate (2nd Shift)

Allied Wire and Cable is currently seeking an energetic Warehouse Associate for our Warehouse facility in Collegeville, PA. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, and the desire to learn and grow with a rapidly expanding company, this position is a fantastic way to get your foot in the door with a leading distributor of industrial automation and connectivity solutions. 

In this role, you would be responsible for using assigned equipment, testing spool daily, using an RF gun to scan spools, and other general warehouse duties. We recognize that providing excellent service to our customers begins with our warehouse teams; we pride ourselves on providing a safe, clean work environment and a stable schedule. Hours for this position are 2:00pm-10:30pm M-F. We offer a starting pay rate around $17/hr. (+$1 shift differential) based on experience plus full benefits.

Allied Wire and Cable (AWC) is an ISO 9001:2016 and AS9100 certified stocking distributor and specialty manufacturer of electrical wire, electronic cable, heat-shrink tubing and wire management products in the USA. What you’ll do

  • Daily set-up and operation of assigned equipment 
  • Monitor tool kit and ensuring all pieces are present and accounted for 
  • Running test spool daily to ensure accurate calibration of footage counter 
  • Working on orders in the appropriate order of priority 
  • Notify Manager of any material discrepancies, unclear comments, maintenance issues, etc. 
  • Strive to hit daily footage, ticket and cut benchmarks 
  • Operate hand-held scan gun to scan spools to appropriate location 
  • Sweeping floors, wiping scrap off machinery, throwing trash away, clearing scrap wire away
  • Additional duties as assigned 

What you'll bring: 

  • High School diploma (preferred)
  • Attention to detail 
  • Basic math and computer skills 
  • The ability to read communication, work tickets, emails, memos, etc. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs
