GCG is hiring a Business Development Director to help us continue growing, evolving, and maintaining our dominance in the market.  Bring your proven experience growing new segments and markets to an industry leader.  In this role, you will lead the convergence of communications technology into multiple market segments, focusing on Wireless solutions and pull through of other wireline and related materials. You will connect the dots between wireless, wireline, and GCG core product offerings into market segments, creating value-add solutions.

You will also extend our core offering to the current customer base, and identify new customers within the market segment. In addition, you will implement new selling mobility to the core sales team.  Potential clients include electrical contractors, security integrators consultants, MSOs, and Datacom. You will lead the customer solution engagement in concert with a Solution Architect and business unit sales members. This is a remote role, with national travel on a bimonthly basis.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the sales team with building and maintaining the key customer relationships.
  • Undertake shared responsibility for negotiation and developing supplier relations focused on wireless
  • Use your education, experience, and real-time knowledge to architect, implement, and support the successful revenue growth strategy
  • Oversee the role definition and execution of GTM (Go To Market) plan
  • Map and develop customer engagement road maps
  • Educate colleagues by explaining how the GTM motion will work and benefit both the customer and company
  • Build, train, and lead a talented, flexible GTM organization which is customer-oriented and exceptionally responsive
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards, suggesting improvements to maximize effectiveness and minimizing costs  
  • Establish and ensure compliance with service level objectives and agreements, key performance indicators, and other metrics to measure success and identify opportunities 
  • Work alongside business unit sales and operations team members as needed

What You’ll Bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Marketing, Communications, Engineering or similar required; graduate degree (MA, MBA, etc.) in a similar field preferred
  • 10+ years growing new business segments and markets experience, including prior experience with large corporate new market strategies and execution
  • Proven experience at aligning company resources against first market mover opportunities
  • Experience integrating various backend organizational functions needs and capabilities into a GTM plan
  • Documented success in working across business unit and corporate functions into a cohesive wireless communications solution
  • Deep knowledge in Wireless and Wireline ecosystems and technologies
  • Hands-on experience leading highly complicated and strategic business opportunities in conjunction with a core sales team sharing overall responsibility for ultimate success
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
