How You Can Make An Impact

As a Data Engineer on our team, you will manage a variety of datasets and data pipelines for traders, researchers, and other critical departments across the organization. You will use modern technologies to deliver high-volume data in near-real-time and manage our solution to measure/monitor the performance of our applications. In addition, you will build dashboards to provide real-time insights and help guide the next iteration of application development with usage statistics.

  • Design metrics, usage statics per application, work with application developers on instrumentation
  • Build Splunk dashboards, alerts, data models, and reports
  • Design and develop analytics solutions with traders and researchers
  • Design and develop data solutions with application developers
  • Manage data pipeline components to deliver high-volume, near-real-time data to various teams
  • Manage our Splunk installation and data pipeline for centralized log and metrics collection
  • Manage best-practice guidelines for logging and metrics 
  • Provide technical support to data consumers


What You'll Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering field of study 
  • 3+ experience in Data Engineering or DevOps, prior financial services environment highly preferred
  • 3+ experience using Splunk
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
    • Working in a Linux environment
    • Python 
    • KDB, MongoDB, and SQL Server
    • High-performance data serialization
    • Real-time messaging systems
    • Operating systems and networking concepts
    • Continuous integration (CI) / continuous delivery (CD) tools
    • Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providers
  • Splunk Certifications highly preferred
