How You Can Make An Impact
As the Director of Security at Geneva Trading, you will partner with our team to develop and oversee policies and programs related to cyber risk, intellectual property, etc. The ideal person in this role is comfortable managing the security of critical systems end-to-end. (Network, security, IP leakage, infrastructure, applications, etc.) Mitigate or reduce cyber risk as well as intellectual property, compliance, operational, strategic, financial and reputational risk faced by Geneva’s employees, contractors, consultants, assets, and other property. This role calls for planning, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and auditing the organization’s security of critical systems, such as infrastructure, firewalls, networks and cloud environments as well as Active Directory, Atlassian Suite, databases, trading software and infrastructure and other technologies used by the Accounting, Compliance, Operations and Risk Teams.
What You'll Do
- Develop a complete understanding of current security operations and develop security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to improve our environment
- Plan, research, and design robust security architecture for new projects and technologies
- Introduce security roadmap chartering new security protocols, architecture, best practices, resources, milestones, training.
- Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures, projects, and technologies; recommend changes and enhancements
- Review installation of firewalls, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies, and proprietary data systems
- Test and monitor security systems to ensure reliability
- Execute vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments
- Coordinate with outside consultants to conduct independent security audits
- Analyze and monitor security threats to the firm’s information systems, our intellectual property, and technology vendors who host the firm’s assets
- Perform incident responses and investigate security breaches and deployment of security solutions to mitigate live threats in real-time
- Identify current and emerging security threats; communicate vital information, security needs, and priorities to senior management
What You’ll Need
- Proven leader and hands-on SME in cyber security and IT.
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience managing security infrastructure such as firewalls, IPS, WAF, endpoint protection, XDR, SIEM/SOAR and other security auditing technologies.
- Relevant security certifications (GWAPT, CISSP, OSCP, or other similar certs)
- Experience in the following areas: Establishing and communicating corporate security governance/assurance practices developing and implementing tactical security solutions to meet overall data security strategy developing subject matter expertise in topics to include network, database, wireless and application security assessments, and adversarial network operations experience with common network vulnerability assessment techniques and tools such as: Nmap, Nessus, Nexpose, Qualys, AppDetective or other similar experience with NIDS/HIDS, network and application firewalls, proxies and other information security products knowledge of NIST, CIS, COBIT, ISO27002 as well as other industry recognized IS standards and best practices
- Familiarity with federal and state privacy law
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information security systems, or similar field of study.
