Your role at GEI.
 
As a Structural Intern, you will work with our engineering team to assist with various structural engineering projects, primarily focusing on building science, building structures, bridge and culvert design and inspections. This position offers a mix of office and fieldwork, providing hands-on experience in the structural engineering field.
 
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Assist with structural design using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Conduct field inspections and site surveys
  • Prepare reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
  • Assist with construction administration and onsite inspections
  • Support other team members with planning and environmental assessments
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in civil engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license
