Operator will perform production according to procedure. Maintain the quantity and quality of final product manufactured. Perform production procedures to spool and package products.
Operator will report directly to the Production Supervisor or Lead. Interact collaboratively with various employee levels throughout the organization.
Oversees manufacturing of carpet seaming products including production runs, spooling, adhesive mixes and machine operations. Monitors product according to specifications for defective areas and performs splicing as necessary. Ensures adequate supply of raw materials. Reports discrepancies and/or maintenance needs to Department Lead or Production Supervisor. Operates machinery and/or equipment in accordance with correct operating procedures and company safety rules.
Processes tape rolls when spooled to specified weight. Attaches appropriate decal/label on finished roll and places in designated case. Ensures packaging and palletizing are completed according to production orders. Documents case with appropriate stamps, i.e., date, type of product, etc. Maintains production log. Ensures packaging and palletizing are completed according to production orders. Performs various preparation and monitoring procedures. Performs general housekeeping tasks; i.e., sweeping, disposing of garbage, etc. Maintains workstation in a clean and orderly manner.
Physical and environmental demands for the Operator, Ability to climb, crouch, kneel, reach with hands and arms, stand for prolonged periods of time, stoop, use hands to finger, handle and feel. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the working environment is usually loud.
