RIW are a Waterproofing specialist and supplier. We provide a free design consultancy service, backed up by a broad range of products in the Structural Waterproofing, Gas proofing and water containment sectors.  We pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of technical support and industry leading customer service. Our primary focus is with Architects and Structural engineers to gain early stage product specification.

The primary objective is to secure strong RIW specifications with Architects / Structural Engineers and promote the RIW Brand, products and services throughout the territory. The successful candidate will also be able to liaise with Contractors and Key Distributors, as necessary. The role requires, (I) the ability to understand and communicate building construction techniques and waterproofing principles, (ii) good building industry knowledge, (iii) technical and commercial acumen, (iv) self motivation, integrity and a sound work ethic.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Generation of RIW specifications
  • Promoting RIW brand awareness, products and services through face-to-face meetings with Architects, Structural Engineers and Contractors
  • Identifying and targeting key specifiers / decision makers in the territory
  • Planning and preparing full and productive days focused on customer engagement meetings (virtual and face-to-face)
  • Providing key specifiers with technically sound advice on structural waterproofing solutions
  • Undertaking technical seminars to promote RIW product range & services.
  • Presenting a highly professional company and personal image to the customer at all times.
  • Achieving agreed monthly key performance targets, as briefly outlined below.

Measurement of Key Performance Targets

The performance of the successful candidate will be measured against agreed key performance targets including:

  • Generation of at least four new RIW specifications per week
  • Full and productive days (Target 10 - 14 productive customer engagement meetings (virtual and face-to-face)
  • Quality and sales value of the new RIW specifications
  • Prioritisation and effective use of leads
  • Planning and preparation and effectiveness of territory management

Skills Required

  • Ability to understand technical concepts and waterproofing principles in building construction
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Gregarious, confident and competitive approaches with strong people skills.
  • Tenacious attitude with excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated strategic, management, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously. Strong work ethic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced PC skills required – Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential.
