Title:                            Cook

Reports To:                 Restaurant Manager 

Summary: A Cook at The I.C. Brewhouse is responsible for establishing a high level of food quality through knowledge of cooking standards, food preparation and recipe adherence to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items by adhering to a standardized recipe and maintaining quality.
  • Food preparation will include vegetables, poultry, meats, and seafood through by using various cooking methods, such as an oven, broiler, fryer, and grill.
  • Understand and adhere to company’s policies and processes, cooking methods, standard portion sizes, and kitchen rules and quality standards.
  • Oversee quality of food served by physically inspecting all food sent out from the kitchen.
  • Ensure workstation area, including shelves, tables, grills, fryers, broilers, oven, sauté burners, refrigeration equipment, and flat top range are kept cleaned and sanitized by following safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Properly store, rotate, and manage all food products following local, state, federal, and company guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure a sufficient amount of food products are stocked and maintained at line stations to facilitate seamless service period.
  • Attend to guest orders promptly and efficiently. Keep servers informed of ticket times.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks during off-peak periods when needed.
  • Maintain proper opening and closing of kitchen protocol by executing routine checklists.
  • Other duties as assigned by Restaurant Manager on duty.


  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Available during peak business hours, specifically nights, weekends, and holidays.
