Position: Maintenance Technician (HVAC certification required)

 

At Gaines Investment Trust, we take pride in offering our residents comfortable and well-maintained apartment homes. We are seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional service to our residents.

Compensation: $21 - $22 per hour (based on experience) plus monthly performance bonuses

 

What You Will Do:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks within occupied apartment units and common areas.
  • Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
  • Complete work orders promptly and efficiently, documenting all completed tasks.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of equipment and systems.
  • Assist with the turnover process for vacant units, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of pools, common areas, and grounds.
  • Communicate effectively with residents to address maintenance requests and provide updates.
  • Coordinate with property management to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams/vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

 

What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of maintenance/make-ready experience in multifamily housing, plus the following credentials/skills:

  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • HVAC Certification (required)
  • Passion for fixing/making repairs.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced setting, enthusiastic about taking on new challenges, and have the desire to grow.
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while managing priorities, maintaining schedules, and meeting goals.
  • Polite communications with residents, onsite staff, and management
  • A positive attitude.
