Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager with strong leadership and technical skills. This role requires the ability to lead and mentor a team of software engineers, drive initiatives to optimize deployment pipelines, automate processes, and ensure seamless software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead software development initiatives within the organization, driving the strategy, roadmap, and implementation. Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring clear goals, roles, and responsibilities are defined and executed effectively.
  • Automation and Tooling: Partner with the DevOps team to develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment processes, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to implement security best practices and compliance standards across infrastructure and applications. Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, QA, and Product teams to facilitate seamless integration of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements into production.
  • SDLC and Agile Frameworks: Proficiency in SDLC methodologies and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Ability to effectively manage projects through all stages of the SDLC, from planning and requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Ensure Agile principles are followed to deliver high-quality software in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Drive the creation to maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Ensure knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
  • Support: Manage the on-call rotation schedule and ensure timely response and resolution of production incidents. Coordinate with team members to address critical issues and prioritize resolution. Lead incident retrospectives to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 2-5 years in a software development leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Experience with eCommerce systems and flows including ecommerce platforms such as Salesforce, Shopify, or Magento.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as React, Node, PHP, or similar framework.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Salary Information 
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $121,500 - $151,500 annually. ​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
