This Global role is responsible for creating, delivering, and operating the Analytics domain / suite of applications / modules to meet the need of Funko’s business strategy. 

You will manage internal and external technology teams for Funko’s BI & Analytics landscape, from a technical and business process perspective. The successful candidate will direct and deliver an Enterprise-wide analytics strategy, build, and own the analytics and data visualization tools, complex dashboards, mobile, methods of increasing user adoption and, proactively drive the next idea within the BI space. 

What You’ll Do

  • Own the roadmap for Business Intelligence, tracking items to completion while communicating status to stakeholders
  • Strategic ownership and thought partner of the way forward for Funko BI and data strategy
  • Responsible for initiating and directing projects as required to support business segments within Funko globally 
  • Set the objectives and goals of the domain with relevant metrics to drive a high performing team.
  • Engage business stakeholders across the company to gain a strong understanding of reporting and analytics needs
  • Responsible to develop and review the development & integration standards that align with Funko IT policies
  • Responsible for preparing & tracking budgets and related financial documents; is responsible for managing financial accounting on new projects to be undertaken
  • Align contracts with vendors and partners to ensure Funko and its customers data meets our policy guidance
  • Ensure all applications have a technical recovery plan in place, are highly available where necessary and have documented procedures to support business continuity in a disaster recovery situation
  • Provide management, coaching and mentoring to create an environment which encourages accountability and strong staff development; manage the hiring, training, motivation, and retention of top talent
  • Drive projects to successful completion by delivering on promised scope / functionality, resolving issues and conflicts with business / IT / Vendor partners, hitting deadlines with quality deliverables 
  • Responsible for managing relationships with our application vendors. Held accountable for hitting metrics associated with vendor performance
  • Ensure the operational performance, scalability, and reliability of application services

What You’ll Bring

  • 10 years' experience with Business Intelligence / Analytical architecture, frameworks, tools, and development lifecycles with increasing levels of supervisory and leadership responsibilities
  • 5 years’ experience as a people manager both directly and indirectly
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, logical thinking and drive POCs to prove the value of the POC to the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with and effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage through influence across a large international organization, preferably in retail space
  • Excellent project management (Agile) and time management skills
  • Will have demonstrable experience of building and growing technology organizations with a focus on the development of people and the utilization of nearshore and offshore services
  • Highly self-motivated.  Accepts ownership and welcomes responsibility
  • Demonstrated acumen and passion for both business and technology, including the latest digital innovations as they apply to the creation of business value
  • Ability to step into projects already in progress, or in need of rescue, and effectively assume a leadership role
  • Demonstrates an ability to communicate with leadership at all levels in order to convey complex IT operations issues and their implications on the organization
  • Experience with enterprise PaaS tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy, Snowflake
  • Experience with SQL and Business Intelligence Tools
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.  MBA preferred

Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $150,000 - $200,000 annually. ​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This position is based in Everett, WA and requires 3 days a week onsite.
