Analytics Engineer
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Data Engineering team which sits under Tech and Data.
In this role, you will become a core member of the Term Loan and Core Services squad, where you will shape the data foundations for this critical domain.
You will tackle unique technical challenges and build high-impact data models that power essential reporting and self-serve analytics. This is a rare opportunity to help build a top-tier Analytics Engineering function with the full backing of the business. The role 
  • Building and owning high quality dbt models, ensuring they are performant, well documented and thoroughly tested
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and build models that drive insights and decision making
  • Champion best practices for data modelling, transformation, and governance, in your immediate team and across the business
  • Consult on our evolving data platform, advising on the tooling, infrastructure and practices needed to enable best-in-class Analytics Engineering
  • Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day
What we’re looking for 
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience writing efficient and well structured queries
  • Hands on experience with DBT, building and maintaining modular, scalable data models that follow best practices
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modelling
  • Familiarity with AWS data services ( S3, Athena, Glue )
  • Experience with Airflow for scheduling and orchestrating workflows
  • Experience working with data lakes or modern data warehouses ( Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery )
  • A pragmatic problem solver who can balance technical excellence with business needs
