Position at Catapult Learning

OVERVIEW  

Catapult Learning is in search of bilingual special education teachers with a proven track-record of student success to teach a virtual program through the New York City Department of Education. This position is hourly and fully virtual; though virtual experience is preferred, all qualified educators are encouraged to apply.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Create and manage a positive virtual classroom  
  • In collaboration with supervisors, work to ensure a high-level of instructional delivery to maximize student achievement  
  • Deliver high-quality lessons virtually  
  • Support student learning aligned to materials through relevant assignments 
  • Administer assessments to evaluate student progress and provide feedback  
  • Work in collaboration with the other virtual teachers as needed  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required  
  • New York state licensures required:  
  • Teaching license  
  • Students with disabilities certification  
  • Bilingual language extension certification  
  • Full professional Spanish proficiency or native/bilingual Spanish proficiency required  
  • Experience in virtual teaching environments preferred  

COMPENSATION AND LOGISTICS: 

  • Monday – Friday, 6-35 hours a week  
  • Virtual/Remote  
  • Target start date: September 1  
  • Grade level: K-12  
  • Salary: $55-$60 per hour (rate dependent on qualifications and experience)
