The Role

FullBloom is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead a team of over twenty K12 and Behavioral Health marketing and proposal professionals for our rapidly growing business. Reporting directly to the SVP of Sales and Marketing, the VP of Marketing is responsible for all aspects of B2B, B2C and B2E marketing, channel optimization, voice of customer, digital and creative in support of its three operating divisions – Catapult Learning, Specialized Education Services, Inc (SESI), and Little Leaves. This position will plan and direct all aspects of the marketing organization including go-to-market strategy; customer acquisition; product marketing; the continued build-out of the marketing function to support growth.

 

The successful candidate is an experienced K12 or Behavioral Health marketing leader with strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The primary focus of this role is leading the team responsible for building and executing marketing and public relations strategies to effectively connect our brand and service offerings with our clients and prospects wants, needs, and unmet needs. FullBloom’s three operating divisions share a common mission but operate and go-to-market differently, requiring this leader to immerse themselves in our business.

 

The Responsibilities

Based in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeast, with easy access to Philadelphia, PA, the VP of Marketing will proactively and systematically pursue marketing optimization around people, process, and technology. Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Lead development of integrated B2B, B2C, and B2E growth strategies and tactics and implement marketing and PR plans to achieve business goals
  • Lead messaging strategy and development of content and sales tools (marcomm, collateral, digital/web, thought leadership, social, video, email, PR) that align with the FullBloom brand and its operating divisions
  • Develop and collaborate with product SMEs on creation of go-to-market strategies for new products and market segments
  • Partner with Vice President of Sales to identify attractive markets that align favorable funding frameworks with FullBloom’s suite of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional services
  • Partner with Director of National Enrollment to drive student enrollment in our special education day schools (B2B2C effort)
  • Partner with Little Leaves Behavioral Health centers to drive client acquisition
  • Brand management –Develop and execute brand integration strategy; Build brand awareness that supports growth strategies across all divisions
  • Develop segmented marketing strategies and identify buying cycles for selling to both K12 Public Schools and Nonpublic Schools (Private-Religious)
  • Oversee and analyze integrated lead generation efforts across multiple channels, including identifying opportunities to improve engagement and conversion
  • Develop a set of marketing KPIs to evaluate performance of marketing efforts
  • Manage budget and resource allocation
  • Be or Rapidly Become an expert in federal and state funding impacting K12, including Title I, Title II, Title IV, IDEA, as well as COVID-related stimulus funding such as CARES, EANS, and ESSER

The Candidate

The ideal candidate currently works or has worked in a marketing role within K12 solution and service-based models; embraces the complexity of public-private-partnerships and relationship development; has worked closely with cross-functional leaders in sales, operations, finance, and product development; is a proven leader with initiative, strong communication skills and is an effective and collaborative team member. A proven track record in motivating, measuring, driving and expanding marketing through innovative vision and strategic analysis will be key. Specifically, this individual will have the following experience and capabilities:

  • Understanding of K12 education sector, special education, and/or child behavioral health and knowledge of associated buying cycles
  • Experience in services-based business
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams – driving, motivating, hiring, and where necessary, upgrading personnel
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in B2B, B2C, B2E Marketing, Brand Management and Public Relations
  • Proficient in multi-channel marketing: SEO/SEM, email automation, digital platforms, social media, thought leadership, voice of customer, CRM, events
  • Ability to professionalize marketing processes and develop and measure appropriate metrics
  • Familiarity with RFP process and supporting winning responses
  • Ability to oversee creation of division-specific marketing plans and manage execution of plan
  • Be a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) power user
  • Possess or rapidly develop an intimate understanding of the state and federal legislation that generates and regulates public and nonpublic funding
  • Experience and understanding of sales support                      
  • Support in developing relationships with public and nonpublic school educational leaders
  • Intellectually curious; high energy; mission driven
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field required; MBA preferred

 

The Compensation

Compensation will include salary, and annual bonus based on company and employee performance

 

The Travel

With operations in 42 states across the country, the VP of Marketing will be expected to visit our programs at least once a month. Initially while onboarding, the VP of Marketing will be expected to visit our operations weekly to immerse themselves in the business. Because of the density of FullBloom programming in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast corridors, most site visits can be accomplished in a daytrip.
