Catapult provides all resources and instructional materials as well as paid training.
Summer Journey is for students in grades K-5 at a Portsmouth, VA non-public elementary school. The program starts July 8 and lasts 4 weeks, 4 days a week, 3-4 hours a day. Aides must be available for the entire program and must attend a mandatory training.
Responsibilities
· Understand and acclimate to the various teachers’ routines in order to provide classroom support.
· Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of material or skill initially introduced by the Teacher.
· Supervise students and ensure they are always monitored, including to and from appropriate locations within the school.
· Assist in maintaining a clean and safe academic learning environment for the student.
· Assist other staff with students when needed, when applicable.
· Other duties may be assigned.
