SUMMER JOURNEY PROGRAM at VISITATION SCHOOL in Kansas City, MO.

Catapult Learning is a provider of K−12 contracted instructional services to public and private schools throughout the US, specializing in at-risk youth and students who are struggling; we are a company with over 40 years of excellence in education. 

We are seeking part-time Instructional Aides to join our team for the summer journey program. 

The teacher aide will be responsible for working with one or more students to deliver instruction and support. This role will provide teaching support in a Kansas City, MO non-public elementary school. Every child deserves to re
ach their full potential and we are looking to hire an exceptional instructor aide who will play an essential role in fueling student success.  
Responsibilities  
·       Understand and acclimate to the various teachers’ routines in order to provide classroom support.  
·       Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of material or skill initially introduced by the Teacher.  
·       Assist with maintaining records of students’ daily progress in accordance with school’s management system and Catapult's attendance system. 
·       Assist with parent communication.  
·       Support and document students’ growth and progress towards academic goals.  
·       Supervise students and ensure they are always monitored, including to and from appropriate locations within the school.  
·       Assist in maintaining a clean and safe academic learning environment for the student.  
·       Assist other staff with students when needed, when applicable.  
·       Other duties may be assigned.  
Qualifications  
·       High School Diploma required.  
·       College experience and/or Bachelors Degree preferred. 
·       Experience working with students.  

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must understand that all children can learn. Must demonstrate positive and enthusiastic attitude towards internal and external customers. Must be flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Must be available to work during the summer months.

 PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:

 Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
